The lab industry’s need for automation has been apparent to us for some time. We started as a laboratory technology consulting firm in the 1990’s. Over the ensuing decades, after moving our headquarters to the healthcare hub of Nashville, Tennessee, we acquired a complementary software business, iterated on the original platform, expanded our capabilities and grew our team.
Through it all, we’ve remained focused on building software informed by our customers’ feedback and providing the type of collaborative, consultative partnership that fully supports our customers’ drive for operational excellence.
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO at ApolloLIMS, Daniel leads the company’s strategy and overall operations, and is focused on building on the company’s 20-year history of success in the laboratory market.
Prior to ApolloLIMS, Daniel served as President of YourCareUniverse, a wholly owned subsidiary of Medhost, an electronic health record vendor to community hospitals. While at Medhost, Daniel also ran the company’s Consumer business, following four years as the company’s Vice President, Corporate Development.
Before Medhost, Daniel worked at Dell, Inc. in a variety of sales and marketing management roles, as well as The Spectrem Group, a management consulting and research firm.
All told, Daniel has over two decades of technology and management experience across start-up, mid-market and Fortune 50 companies. He has a B.A. from Washington & Lee University and a M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University. Daniel became CEO of ApolloLIMS in September of 2018.
Vice President, Product Development
As Vice President of Product Development, Brian oversees the company’s product and innovation strategy, as well as various IT initiatives and the hosted delivery of the ApolloLIMS application.
Brian formerly served as Vice President of Product Development – Shared Services at Medhost. He also held roles focused on Enterprise Architecture and Corporate Account Management while at Medhost.
Prior to Medhost, Brian held a range of technology roles from development to information systems to network operations at Microsoft, JDA, Dr.Koop.com., and HPI, a community hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
Brian studied at the University of Texas and Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN, where he graduated with a B.S. in Healthcare Information Technology. Brian joined ApolloLIMS in January of 2019.
Vice President, Operations and Customer Success
As Vice President, Operations & Customer Success, Jimmy is responsible for Implementation and Customer Support, ensuring that all customers are highly satisfied with each aspect of their experience with ApolloLIMS.
Jimmy has extensive experience in the laboratory market. Before joining ApolloLIMS, Jimmy served as Chief Operating Officer of MyGenetx and was responsible for building the MyGenetx lab from day one – from commercial operations to instrument selection to LIMS evaluation / selection to billing software evaluation / selection – developing a wide range of knowledge in the growing genetic testing space.
Prior to MyGenetx, Jimmy founded Kentec Management Solutions, Inc., a business supporting hardware manufacturers in the retail space. He also served as President of the Gafford Group, a start-up that grew to over 300 employees nationwide, providing services to retail stores and product manufacturers.
Jimmy attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, and Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. He joined ApolloLIMS in March 2017.
Vice President, Finance & Administration
As Vice President of Finance & Administration, Dylan is responsible for all finance and accounting duties at ApolloLIMS. He also manages human resources and other operational initiatives for the company.
Prior to ApolloLIMS, Dylan was an Investigator for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury and State of Tennessee as well as a private practice attorney.
Dylan has a B.S. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a J.D. from the Nashville School of Law. He joined ApolloLIMS in October 2015.
As Director of Sales for ApolloLIMS, Brett is responsible for the day-to-day management of all sales activities. Having spent the majority of his career in the healthcare technology industry, Brett brings deep healthcare experience to his role at ApolloLIMS.
Previously, Brett spent over six years at Cerner Corporation, where he served as Senior Client Executive and was responsible for selling Cerner’s electronic health record solutions, a key component of which was laboratory software.
Before Cerner, Brett served in various roles at Medhost, from Implementation to Corporate Accounts to New Business Sales.
Brett has a B.S. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He joined ApolloLIMS in March 2019.
