Dynex DS2 Interface at the Mississippi Public health Laboratory– January 2011
An instrument interface from ApolloLIMS to Dynex DS2 ELISA analyzer has been developed and implemented at the Mississippi State Public Health Laboratory. The instrument interface was a collaborative effort between the development team at ApolloLIMS, the team at Dynex and Mississippi Public Health Lab. The Dynex DS2 will be utilized within the immunology department for TB Quantiferon and HIV 2. The ApolloLIMS/Dynex instrument interface is bidirectional so that upon receiving a specimen the instrument will query ApolloLIMS for the specimen order. Upon completion of analysis the instrument will automatically send the specimen results to ApolloLIMS.

The primary benefits of this interface will be:
Reduced error in manually transcribing orders and results
Decreased time and labor to run the tests in the form of manual data input
The ability to quickly report required results to the CDC and Epidemiology.
